3 Tips for your Home Renovation
1) Find your inspiration. Start building a Pinterest board to hone in on the exact style you would like to achieve. Does this sound daunting or overwhelming? For some it can be. A great approach would be to start with multiple boards to see which you’re ultimately drawn to the most. Then you can follow the process of elimination until you have that one look that you are just so excited about!
2) It’s never too early to start researching and finding your materials. Referrals are best. If you are working with a contractor, ask them and or friends for referrals to vendors for tile, fixtures, paint, appliances, cabinetry. Check for hours of operations since some of these vendors have odd hours. Choose a day to grab a coffee and go check out tile, fixtures, etc. A common mistake is waiting until the demo has started to look for materials. When that’s the case, you feel rushed AND your project could be delayed due to long order and delivery timelines.
3) Gather samples of all of your materials so you can physically feel, and see them together. You want to make sure colors and materials complement one another and don’t clash.
